Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 17, 2026
This policy explains what information ellisid.com collects and what we do with it. In short: we only collect what you choose to send us, we use it to reply to you, and we never sell or share it.
The contact form
When you send us a message through our contact form, we collect your name, phone number, email address and anything you write in your message. We use it only to reply to you.
Your message is emailed to us. A backup copy is also kept on our own web server, so no message is lost if an email fails. The form also asks a simple math question to keep out spam; your answer is not kept.
The map on our Contact page
The map on our Contact page comes from OpenStreetMap. When the page loads, your browser fetches the map from OpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address, as any website you visit does. Their privacy policy covers how they use it.
"Save our contact"
The "Save our contact" button downloads a contact card (a .vcf file) with our own name, phone number, email and address. It contains nothing about you and collects nothing from you.
Cookies and tracking
ellisid.com sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers.
Server logs
Like most websites, our web server keeps a standard log of visits (IP address, date and time, the page requested and your browser type) to keep the site secure and working. These logs are deleted after about two weeks.
We never sell or share your information
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with anyone.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, at any time.
